Samsung S630 Digital Camera - Silver (6.0MP, 3x Optical Zoom) LCD

6.0 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom The Samsung S630 is a high resolution digital camera that is equipped with a true-colour filtered 6.0 mega-pixel CCD. You can use Samsung S630 to produce even better images and take detailed photos for printing up to poster size. In addition, the Samsung S630 has a 3x optical and 5x digital zoom giving 15x total zoom when combined. The ASR technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and colour common to flash photography. With ASR the effects of camera shake are reduced in lower light conditions. You can even take well exposed, sharper pictures in low light without using a flash at all. It guarantees brighter and more natural pictures and at 50 sqids its a bit of a bargain

Nikon Coolpix S51c Review

200x150_1

The sleek 8-megapixel Nikon Coolpix S51c includes wireless LAN connectivity for around £170. Wireless has been the future for a while now, and although we love the idea of being able to share images from our cameras to the Web so far the idea hasn’t really caught on.

CMV9301 PMP doubles as 3MP to 5MP camera

pmp

We’ve seen the camera / PMP mishmash before, and now that we’re witnessing yet another iteration, we still aren’t really feeling the concept. Nevertheless, those that are should certainly take a gander at Shenzhen Carav Electronics’ CMV9301, which features a three-inch 320 x 240 resolution display, support for a 1.8-inch hard drive, three- or five-megapixel camera, 4x digital zoom, integrated flash, SD expansion slot, AV in / out, line-in port, a built-in speaker and a trifecta of games for good measure. Additionally, this thing claims to play nice with MP3, WMA, PCM, WAV, AVI, MOV, MP4 and ASF file formats, and the rechargeable Li-ion should be good for around ten hours of music / four hours of video playback. As these things always go, there’s no word on how much a single one will cost, but feel free to phone ‘em up if you can shake off that voice pleading with you to not order “at least 200.”

Find a use for that old webcam.

yawcam

Windows only: Did you get a webcam bundled with your last computer but don’t know what to do with it? Why not turn it into a motion-sensing security camera with freeware application Yawcam. All you need is a webcam to get started, but after spending a little time in the Yawcam settings you can set automatic FTP uploading, emailing, or just saving captured images to your hard drive. You can even set a schedule for when Yawcam is enabled to capture images so your security camera isn’t constantly snapping pics while you’re sitting in front of your computer. We’ve seen similar motion detecting software, but Yawcam looks like an excellent and simple alternative.
